Back to Newcastle...

Went to Edinburgh fer 2 days... think the sights there are really pretty, wif nice castles n buildings n also a nice shopping street... haha, after 2 days of shopping yeah, i'm shopping again... Went to do some sightseeing in e day, but cam was down so couldnt really capture any pics... In e end however, we ended up doing more shopping than sightseeing... Window shopping that is... pounds is really jia lat lehz... a simply 10 pound tshirt is actually 30 sgd... N knowing me, i'll nv pay 30 Sgd fer a tshirt, unless i really really think its very nice... I'm more of a shirt fan, but i've so many shirts i like tt i doubt i can find 1 shirt different from the ones i have tt i really really like... Yar... Food there was alright... Had a dish called Haggis fer lunch... Heard its Scotland's national dish n really very nice...
Here're its ingredients after coming back n researching on it:
  • 1 sheep's lung (illegal in the U.S.; may be omitted if not available)
  • 1 sheep's stomach
  • 1 sheep heart
  • 1 sheep liver
  • 1/2 lb fresh suet (kidney leaf fat is preferred)
  • 3/4 cup oatmeal (the ground type, NOT the Quaker Oats type!)
  • 3 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup stock
It was kindaf mashed up in a ball so i couldnt really tell wad it was, except eating it n finding it not bad... Feel so cheated now... though i'm a huge fan of pig's intestines n kueh chap, but lungs n hearts are really... Err... Nvm... Lets move on to something more interesting...

Went to a pub to drink n watch the everton liverpool match... Had a gin tonic there, which was nice n of cos, its even better to watch liverpool win once more... Real glad that they're finally picking up their form now... As compared to a few seasons ago when they were playing like shit... Finally, i'm beginning to see some nice touches n passes...

Think Edinburgh is really a nice city to be in, the only thing is tt i dun have enuff money to be able to spend there... heard tt there's a really really nice ghost tour, i.e. ure brought to some place to see ghosts... Dunno how real or scary it is, but from all the advertising n stuff which we heard from others, its really really scary... Fer once, i feel like being brave n go join the tour, but the rest werent too keen about it so e idea was scrapped... Kindaf wasted... Went down to the newcastle shopping place today, its really quite not bad i feel, its just 1 storey but it has really many many stores... N the pastries here are all so delicious.. At least they smelled soooo good... but i still din buy or eat it... Think i shd seriously go on a healthy diet after i go back... I'm getting fat...

N yeah, here're some differences which i find in UK...
1. There is a hot water tap which has very hot water n a cold water tap which has very cold water... N yeah, u cant mix them...
2. There are no light switches in UK bathrooms, u gotta pull a lil string to light up the room...
3. U can c ppl drinking in pubs at lunch times... Beer seems cheaper than water...
4. There're so many kindaf liquors here tt i've nv seen b4... N so cheap too...
5. They have no water coolers here... N the drinks are all quite ex... So yeah, i usually go ard not drinking anything from lunchtime till dinner time...
6. UK showers have movable heads... As compared to US showers...
7. There is no tipping system in the Uk... N they dun include taxes too... So its juz a raw price of say 5 pounds...
8. Fish n chips is their kindaf staple meal here... N the chips are huge chips... More like fried potatoes... N the fish inside dxn really have much taste imo...
9. Uk ppl dun eat fast food cos it is a luxury to them... It costs ard 4 pounds... US ppl dun eat fast food cos either there's only mac ard and also there are other cheaper options ard...
10. Sg ppl who come to the UK shd be able to cook better than those in US... They normally like all but a few meals, while the US ppl cook only like several meals...
