My day juz got better! Cant not blog bt this...
My sis managed to help me d/l a new song, which i've got a huge crush on, fan zhuan di qiu (turning the earth) by pan wei bo... Its not a song which everyone would really like, i guess its an acquired taste... Have been listening to it fer liek 3 hrs straight n i'm not stopping.. :)

My Weekend...

Weekend wasnt gd... I was tired... Slept a lot... Tt kindaf summarises my weekend...

But... I went to eat satay at lau pa sat yday... Haha... The highlight of my weekend... Ate 35 satays!!! Was quite hungry, cos i slept till 8 then went wif family... a bit late but they waited fer me to wake up... Or rather, they wanted to wait... But if they wait, think we can go supper instead of dinner liao... The E2K6 fair was draining... Dunno y but i kept yawning.. Almost every hr... N guess wad... Only 1 person asked bt CS... Strangely... Well, could be cos everyone else knows bt cmu n cs, so they din ask... Or maybe CS majors would search for info online instead of coming down... Or maybe being the usual CS ppl, they sleep late n wake up even later...

The "in" thing these days is business... so many ask bt business until i can memorize wad i always say... "Cmu's business school is actually very good, though relatively unknown in sg, but its ranked 5th in US... They link up with companies to offer internship n business opportunities and due to its flexibility, u can also get a double major... With business and another major and its not tt hard... N blah blah blah... "

Another interesting pt to note... Many girls approached us also, as compared to last yr where most guys approached us rather than girls... Ya... But asking is one thing, coming is another... So keep ur fingers crossed...Not tt it matters to me... Haha...

Ok tt concludes my weekend... Now my incoming week... Exciting stuff u can be sure... Everyday's exciting... Haha... N somemore, i found stuff to do at night besides dota-ing... Lolz... Once again i feel tt my life is fun.. Though sadly, i'm leavng soon... Sian1/2...

Was reading a fren's blog bt him posting... The longer the posts, the more depressed he is... Went to read up some of my older posts... Ignore the multitude of grammatical errors... Content wise, mostly not very nice things... Happy things i usually dun describe in detail, shitty things, i describe it to the most minute detail... maybe tts y ppl think i'm always feeling very sad n stuff if they dun c me n read my blog only... but if they c me only, they'll think i'm always feeling happy... so in order to really know me, must read my blog n c me... then u'll c the mixture of joy n sorrow... Haha...

Sounds a lil like advertising fer my blog... But oh well...

Think many ppl have misconceptions bt me... which i'm usually lazy to clarify but ya, i am still lazy to clarify... So wadever...

As u can see, i'm feeling a lil bored... N yes, u are right... I am bored at this moment of time... I dun feel like watching tv.... I dun wanna dota... Its too early to sleep... There's only a handful of ppl i want to talk to n they're not online... Gng to find food to keep me occupied... Bb...

I am officially bored at work... Kindaf done wif my project wif 2 more weeks... But well, there're some other stuff which i can do but i dunno how to... Well, depending on my mood, i may have to go back to experiementing to c wad i can do again...

I am officially bored with my life... The dread of leaving sg is settling in... Makes me unable to enjoy my life now... Arrgh... I need to go out n enjoy myself more... But how to, with so many things i have to do... Sianz...

I'm officially tired of dota... Bnet sux... Full of big time noobs... N noobish opponents who dun deserve to win... But well, who ask me to go play with them... Shall only play wif frens...

N i'm officially so sick of my sony ericsson hp... No dictionary.. Sucky keypads... Dun feel like sms-ing using it at all... But bo bian ,tts the only non-camera phone i have now... Where is my 8250???

A rare visit to the dentist...

Visited the dentist 2 days ago, after much persuasion from my mum... I was always those, "aiyar, 1 day nv brush teeth nvm one..." My last visit to the dentist was like 2-3 yrs ago liao, n prior to tt, primary 6... so ya, u know me... i already know got 1 tooth which is sensitive liao, but after the x-ray, the dentist say got 3 areas decay... Then need to fill... "Hmm, decay a lil nia, n soemmore i dun feel anything, so shdnt be a problem", i thought to myself... Then just go there let him wash n fill... But when he did the 1st tooth, i was like "WTF!!!" I could opt to numb it, but i thought pain a while nia mahz, so just "ren" lorz... But no lorz... Its really darn painful lorz... Tmd... Nv tot my teeth could give me such pain... the most painful experience i had prior to it was just pulling of my milk teeth in P6... My hands were covered in cold swaet lorz, n my forehead was perspiring profusely... So all those young kids reading this, better go brush ur teeth every night... dun play play n dun eat sweets at night... I nv listened to this kindaf advice one, but now, i'll brush my teeth everyday... Though i must say, a few fillings is actually quite gd considering the number of yrs i nv visit the dentist n how bo chap i am towards maintaining my teeth... Haha...

Had a class outing yday... quite gd to c everyone again, somemore got 10 ppl turn up!! Quite a gd number already i think... But more imptly, think the atmosphere was cordial n like last time... Even after 4 yrs, everyone seems the same still... Even after graduation... But glad to have caught up with everyone, n tt everyone is doing well... Hope we can still meet up at least once every year... ;)

N today i am darn happy... Met up wif an old fren whom i have met for like tonnes of yrs... Glad tt she's also doing well, gng fer her phd soon... Ya, another zai kia... N she actually told me i look youngish... Yeah... Now, all my previous thoughts bt me getting older are gone liao... Haha... From now on, i look young n am young!!! Lolz...

Realised tt my clothes are gettin very limited...realy sian... Everyday can only wear the same few... Those clothes i left in sg, well, i've outgrown them... Can only wear those i brought back from US, which is very little... Arrgh... Really need to go shopping soon, though i always feel lz to do so... But must do b4 the sale ends!!!

Kenaed a volley today... As in, the guy was preparin fer a volley, i managed to kick the ball away, n he volleyed my leg instead... Thought it was nothing at first, but after a few hrs, the pain kicked in... N now i feel pain whenever i walked... N the worst is tt i cant play soccer this sat anymore... Tts the boring part... Gotta go play other stuff liao... Or KTV!!! but hmm... need to get ppl... C how bahz...

N here's a lil classic joke from Mr TJ... We were talking bt one of us being some big shot, then 1 guy wanna escape reservist... So he was saying tt will need to pull strings... N TJ replied, yeah, i know wad string to pull fer tt... Ur hampstring...

More thoughts...

After being an avid reader of the New Paper since the world cup days, it is rare that i share the same sentiments as the articles of New Paper, as well as the feelings of the authors penning them... But for once, i finally read 2 articles which i feel have really captured my feelings of the world cup... Not totally, but good enuff... Andrew Warshaw n Ernest Lui, i thank you for ur insightful comments...

Now, the saga gets even more interesting as we go into speculating what Materazzi said to Zidane to make him lose his cool... However, though we'd all like to know the actual words, I would prefer not to believe anything that is being speculated or predicted either by lip reading or any other means... Though an Italian fan, i'd still condemn this sort of intentional provocation which has marred the world cup finals... I hope FIFA can indeed look into the matter and mete out any deserving punishments...

I had always been clear as to what area of ECE i wanted to concentrate in, until my recent attachment, where i learnt that there is a difference between what I want to do in my next 2 yrs, and what i will prob be doing after those 2 years... As such, i have been seriously re-considering my concentration area for the past few weeks, but still unable to reach a decision... Not surprisingly at all, given my indecisive nature...

But today, i met a colleague who told me something very true... "U live ur life but once" the same applies to ur university... U dun want to regret not learning something u want until the later stages of ur life, where u will then be bounded by other constraints... So y not, just do what u want now... I was really convinced by his argument, and so much wanted to for once, do what i want regardless of future consequences...

But i cant... I have always considered this, considered that, n for those who know me, i take some time to make my decisions... I do not want to look back in regret of what i had done or could have done... True, i seldom regret my decisions, though still regret a few, but i do not want to really do something i like, n then let my interest n knowledge fade into oblivion by spending so many years re-learning new stuff n using it at work... Is there a point to having a taste of something u like, just to have u rue at not being able to finish it up... Or would a taste of it always beating having not even a sniff of it... Dun ask me...

A concluding chapter...

Just wrote a long article bt my thoughts on wad happened at the world cup finals last night... But comp suddenly restarted n here i am again... Haiz...

Well, was just thinking tt it takes many years to build up a reputation but just a second to destroy it... How unfair is that? YEs, its a moment of folly n rashness for Zidane, but to condemn him for just 1 incident since a lil harsh... Ppl are now doubting him, just as the new paper suggests, "is he an angel, or a devil?" An angel for 10+ years of precise passes, graceful movements, unrivalled skill... A devil for 1 second of uncalled violence... I really find it such a pity... I do... But to me, he is and will forever remain as the best midfielder i have seen, even after the world cup incident... N i think the media agree with me, by giving him the Golden Ball award, it shows tt they're overlooking yesterday's incident for his inspirational and captivating performance during the world cup... Aidos Zidane, and thanks for all the moments of magic u've brought to the game...

But although, i'd personally think that Cannavaro deserves it even more... Everytime u c a striker with a ball, u'd see Cannavaro... His tackles, his determination, his undying spirit has won him my utmost respect in the world cup... N even though Zidane is the best player ever, but in the world cup, Cannavaro deserves the honour... but tts soccer for u, there're many sides to a ball... everyone has his own opinion, but tts just my personal take on it...

Many would say that France was the better side yesterday, having dominated the 2nd half, with quite a few gd chances... Yeah, they shd win becos of that... But taking a step back, Italy has an impregnable defense in the form of Cannavaro n Buffon too... N based on tt, we can say tt they deserve to win for their defence... What i am trying to say is, its always hard to say who deserve to win... they're always 2 sides to it, depending on how u want to argue...

But being an Italian supporter, i am glad they win the world cup after all the effort from the players n coach... Lippi's tactics... Buffon's safe hands... Cannavaro's solid defending... Grosso's match winners... Pirlo's passes... Gattuso's tackles... Gogo Italy... N may they get over their scandal soon...

I may be an italian fan... but i was actually growing to be a germany fan... Or going to be... After the 4-2 win over costa rica, and wif all the exciting football which they've been playing, they're winning me over... Klinsmann is good n still good even now... I honesly hope he stays as German coach, he's revolutionised the German team, n i really salute him fer tt... The only coach i am against is Sven for reasons which i think many would know... But tts up to individual preference...

I must admit i cant 100% tell dives... Players may not be purposely diving but just nice they fall when there's contact... I dunno... But, u WILL KNOW where u are HURT... I dun think i fall down n hit my nose, i can feel pain on my ears... N tts wad Mr M.B is doing... Dun wish to go rewatch the argentina replay for more obvious fouls... Think i blogged bt tt previously... Enuff said...

Dxn matter where he's gng, Chelsea, Arsenal, or even Liverpool... I'll hate him all the same...

Football is like that... U nv know who may win... tms may be playing well n still lose... But too bad lorz... Can complaing tt they shdnt have lost, i've no problem wif that... But to say "Italian Actors" or "Italian Oscars" is absurd when the best male lead of all is staring at u straight in the face...

This was a title tt caught my attention in the new paper today, after yesterdays gruelling match where the italians won 2-0 in the dying mins of extra time... Yet, though many shared my euphoria when the italians bagged the win, there were others who stared blankly at the tv, refusing to believe the change in scoreline in just 2 mins...

I acknowledge the assiduity of the germans in their game, taking it to the italians and controlling the 2nd half with probing passes and surging runs down the flanks by schneider n lahmn... N after that, shu-wine-sty-ger... Apologies for not being able to spell out his name... N with the cheers of 50000 fans behind them, they seemed the dominant force... Not even the 2 chances that strike the posts could shatter their belief that germany was gng to Berlin... But at the end, the fact remains... italy 2, germany 0...

then now, u hear the complains... Complaints tt the italians were playing foul, cries that the italians were acting, n yeah, u get the idea... I for 1, am an italian fan and i am proud to acknowledge this fact... N if u're a super german fan or just an italian hater, i hope u stop here n go read some other more entertaining blogs... I do not wish to argue with u anymore than i am gng to say...

Football has, and always will be, a game which can sway other sides... Referees are not perfect, and despite the technological advances, games are still controlled referees... they are not perfect, but they try their best to make the game fair and just.. But just like all humans, they are susceptible to pretense... Footballers tend to make use of this fer their own advantage, in the end, it is the result that justifies the means... a loss is always a loss no matter how much it shdnt happen...
Not that i am saying its right to dive or cheat, but i am just justifying y it happens... But this may be gng too long... Lets just keep it short...

Many have accused the italians of diving n acting... I do not wish to say they do not or wadever, i am sure this may be true to a certain extent... Grabbing their legs when they have been hit... Or staying on the ground after some tackles... But, who does not? Oh, i know... Michael Ballack... The player whom accusers love i'm sure... He DXN CLINCH his face when he's been hit... He DXN FALL after being tripped... Dun believe me? Look at ydays' match... Ballack had a mid air collision with MAterazzi... Ballack's elbow hit Materazzi's face... n materazzi did not hit ballack's face... Both players fall to the ground... Then u c both of them clinching at their faces... Woah... Tts integrity for u... dun believe? Go c the replay... ITS STARING U IN THE FACE...

May be this is an accident... Germany vs argentina... A guy hits Ballack in the side of his face... Ballack collapses as all ppl do, n clinches at his nose... Go watch the argentina n germany match if u dun believe... Look at Gattusso n Ballack... Ballakc tackles Gattusso... Gattusso wanted to square off against Ballack, but Ballack settles it amicably with a hug... Alright, tts fairness... Gattusso then touches Ballack's face as a sign of friendship, (the touch was like all other friendly touches) N Ballack stares back deviantly at him, in front of the ref... I am not saying tt he wanted the ref to believe that he was hit... I AM NOT SAYING THAT...
Of cos, there're a few other incidents, but i shalltn elaborate as i cant say for sure its u-know-who's fault...

N lets take a look at the italians... Ppl have said tt there shd be a penalty when cannavaro jumped to head the ball above podolski... N the ref gave a free kick just outside the area... Oh yeah, i remember that... A penalty eh? Pls go n take a look at the past penalties tt were awarded... Defender jumping on top of a striker for a ball = penalty? I think tt every match shd have tonnes of penalties then... Ok, lets say it is a penalty... Ref shd have awarded tt but he din... Take a look at the arg vs ger match... Maxi rodriguez was in the penalty area chasing after the ball when the ger defended went in 2 legged n tripped him... Go c the replay once again... But wad did he get? A yellow card booked for diving... If u say tt the germans deserve a penalty, y not instead say tt the argentinians deserve a penalty in the match b4 tt...

Dunno wad else to say... had lotsaf stuff i wanted to say, but somehow, the mood disappears after dinner.. esp when i just had a roast duck fer dinner...

To put it simply...
1. italians scored not 1, but 2...
2. They had more possession, 2 shots which hit the wood work...
3. Their tackles were harsh, but the ref dealt with them aptly... N they dun slide for nothing... the time they did it, materazzi got a red card for it...
4. They may have acted a lil who dxn? But i dun c them acting n no where are they near the male lead of wc... Urs truly M.B...
5. Lehmann performed well, yeah... except for those 2 shots... but wad about buffon? He let in 1 own goal only in the whole wc...
6. Penalty? This wasnt as obvious as in the previous game... N if a penalty shd be awarded now, how bt b4? Not to say it wasnt even a penalty in the 1st place...

Drama in the street soccer court...

Just played soccer with a grp of frens today at the bball court near my place... Then some of the normal residents came, n even though we dun want to play wif them, but dun feel gd to let them stand there n wait so all play together lorz... Was afraid tt they'll be rough but turned out ok... then here's where all the exciting stuff happened...

An old adult ard 50+,wif white hair came up, n started scolding us who're playing there.... Cos althogh there's a fence at the side of the court, it was not that tall and balls may still go out... Then next to the fence are parking lots... then the guy started complaining... tt we purposely kick the balls so high until they go over the fence n hit the cars... When none of the cars were hit, n only once did we actually hit the ball across... (no harm done) He made it sound like we purposely wanted to kick the ball so high but we are not zidanes, sometimes we just hit the other person and the ball flies away... N the main reason i was pissed was tt he just came scolded us... the small kids, the army guys, n us... Not even telling us to be careful nicely or wad, but he was VERY RUDE... Like those angmoh speaking singaporeans who keep kb-ing... N He even threatened to report this to the schools of the players, saying their parents din teach them well n stuff... We were all like wtf lorz... I really really hate ppl who come in n threaten kids, cos i freaking hate it when those adults came n threaten me...

Then he threatened to call the police, n stood at a distance watching us... But we heck n played... then police really came... But wad he said was, "just be careful when u play soccer... I am not telling u not to play, in fact, i encourage u to play, but be careful..." They also observed a while before leaving... I mean, wad can u do to us? Its a legally playing spot... Really wtf lorz... Then time got late, n we all were leaving liao... then 1/2 way, we saw tt same old guy bringing the security here... A typical case of a sore loser... when he's got NO CASE against us...


We wanted to avoid him for peace's sake,but he started saying tt our grp is one of them... Well, i seldom play soccer there n i was really frekaing pissed.. then i went on to explain to the guard tt it wasnt intentional, n it took place once... n no dmg was done... But he keep ranting on bt using the law to wadever... Tt really made me pissed... I gave him one of my sarcastic tones... Asking "Really ar? U can use the law against us ar? Wah, i din know leh... How? " I was gng to go on bt "oh i'm so scared... How? " N stuff but the security guard cut me short, n just told us to be careful... I know the guard quite well, decided not to make things hard fer him, n just left saying "i respect u, i will play carefully"... N left... But really lorz, this old man is like "chi bao mei shi zhuo"... I din want to get involved in the brawl, din even say anything initially, but if u wanan try it on me, bring it on...


I am those "chi nuan" n dun "chi ying" if u know me... u talk to me nicely, everything also ok... U threaten me, I'll nv give in... Tts me... Esp, i hate those
who threaten those small kids lorz... Taking advantage of their innocence... Really wtf... N pls stop thinking u're some big shot, tts wad sgreans always do... have seen cases of these angmoh speaking old men who always think they know law n stuff n hang it around their mouths... Freaking irritating...


But a plus pt of it... It was really funny to hear the comments made by the other players, most of them being army or jc or sec 5 ppl... Haha..

A new CD...

Yay, i finally manage to buy the cd i wanted fer some time liao... No, its not chinese pop... I know i'm like the chinese pop songs guy, but no... Been hearing quite some nice eng songs n decided to try to listen to eng pop once again... The Cd name is called BIGGER... Quite a gd name... Lolz... Also, all those times i spend in the CMU gym jogging n listening to those American pop contributed to this CD too... heh... Feeling quite happie...

Met a couple of gd frens over e last few days... Glad to haf met up n know tt they're doing well... Haha, think i'm like the only one who's been having a mugging sem... Super muggish sem i must say... then the std qn comes n ya, i'm still swinging happily... Lolz... To all those who arent really feeling happie over the past few days, well, just do what u think is right... Follow wad ur heart tells u to... N dun regret...
